Anyone in their right mind would wonder why on earth would we show a picture of a junk food frenzy on our nutrition
page but the answer is simple. It is very important that you choose healthier eating habits and better foods when maintaining
an exercise program with sincere goals. Here at Fitness Science we also know how important it is to be able to indulge in
other foods as well! We understand that food, not just the nutritional stuff but also the fun loving favorites are a part
of life, and if your gonna stay healthy for a lifetime you've got to enjoy that part of life as well. Everything's
fine in moderation... We'll show you how to work that in too! In the mean time, here are a few tips
to get you started...
NUTRITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS - Restrict saturated fat, if higher than 5 grams per serving,
stay away!
- Eat fish at least twice a week.
- Stay away from fried foods.
- Try to keep sodium consumption
under 2,400mg per day.
- Eat foods from all the food groups, but be sure to get fruits, vegetables,
beans, fish, lean cut meats, and whole grains.
- Try to avoid alcohol altogether but if you must, no more than 2 drinks
for men and 1 drink for the women
- Try to cut out as much saturated fat as possible.
- Drink plenty
of water and remember to stay hydrated.
